At about the estimated time of Garrett Lambert’s birth, John Lambert conveyed land in then Frederick County, Maryland, with his wife Jennet (Jend) relinquishing rights of dower.521,522 The court appearance of “Jane Lambert” as Garrett’s “next friend” in 1791 suggests the possibility that Jennet and Jean were the same, mother of Garret and at least most of John Lambert’s children.568

John Lambert’s will569 cites his wife Elizabeth. There is disagreement as to whether this person is a later wife, or the wives are one and the same: Elizabeth Jean(ett) Lambert.
