Abraham Lambert was present in Nelson County in 1789, alongside George Clark, an early close associate of Joseph Clayton.526 In 1798, Abraham purchased 80 1/2 acres of land on Simpson’s Creek from Charles Duncan.2131 The consideration of five shillings indicates that some external consideration, of friendship or business, was involved in the transaction. In 1801, Abraham Lambard, living on Simpson’s Creek, was reported to have found a stray chestnut sorrel mare.2132
