In 1790, the records of the Friends Monthly Meeting of Philadelphia show that Joshua Gulson, previously of Coventry, Warwickshire received the required certificate of good standing from the Meeting there. In 1792, he was disowned by the Philadelphia Society for reasons that are not clear at this moment.2491
