Notes for Nathaniel Lloyd
Nathaniel was apparently named after his mother’s uncle, Nathaniel Newton.2397
Nathaniel’s grandmother Mary née Robinson had considerable property and money, which she bequeathed to various relatives, near and far, in her will.2392 She left Nathaniel 100 pennies — but 100 pounds “if he Returns to England or Can be h[e]ard of.”
I have not been able to find any certain information about Nathaniel beyond his mention in wills. There are records of a contemporary Nathaniel Lloyd in Nuneaton, although those do not appear consistent with his mother’s account of him having left the country.
