Benjamin is noted in 1799 as being an apprentice in Stockport (Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire), and a graduate of Ackworth School in Warwickshire.1947 He is recorded as having graduated from Ackworth in the previous year. He may have been, the only one of the family who attended.1948
